Petitions are a great way to let your government know exactly what you think of their actions. Eight Lights provides free hosting to all ethical petitions for everyone to access—especially important for large countries that may not have access to all people in one area.

The petitions we have here now are:

Irradiated Greens Petition – fresh greens are especially important for raw foodists and vegans; irradiation is the process of exposing them to so-called ‘controlled radiation’, leading to the death of all organisms on the plant—including the plant itself. This action by the U.S.D.A. (United States Department of Agriculture) was presumably inspired by the scares concerning contaminated greens—when hundreds of thousands of people, at the lowest estimate, are sickened by animal products! Instead of protecting us from the runoff of animal enterprises, the U.S.D.A. is making possibly the worst choice they could—by ignoring the real problem and treating the symptom, which in turn causes more problems. Download the PDF here and print it out and carry it places with you to get people to sign! About 200 signatures to a set of five sheets.
